Lightweight car, powerful engine – the secret of success of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sedan. This rare vehicle was built between 1962 and 1978 as the successor of the Giulietta model. The tall and angular shape of the vehicle was an in-house development of the Italian car manufacturer. The sedan tested in the wind tunnel was significantly roomier than its predecessor. It was also one of the first production vehicles to have a stable safety passenger cell. The basic version was the Giulia TI with 68 kW (91 hp), whereby the designation “TI” referred to the Italian racing car limousines. In summer 1974 the “Nuova Super” versions were released. These variants were extensively modified, among other things the chassis and driving performance were improved and a dark plastic grille with double headlights and a smooth trunk lid were installed. Nuova Super was available with two different petrol engines (1.3 litres and 1.6 litres) and only in Italy with a diesel engine. In 1978 the production of the charismatic limousine Alfa Romeo Giulia ended, which was also used as an official car of the Italian police and carabinieri.
