– highly original Jaguar XJ 6 Series I
– only three owners from new, the 2nd kept this car for over 25 years in his private museum
– underbody sealing in place, car reportedly rust-free
– expertly brought back into running order in 2016, over € 13,000 spent
– since then, the car has travelled some 3,000 trouble-free kilometres
– rare 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive
– beautiful colour combination of dark blue paint and beige leather interior
– power windows, air conditioning, radio on board
– 2016 Classic Data appraisal states a replacement value of € 27,500 (condition: 2)
– comes with comprehensive document files
– German registration documents, valid technical approval until 05/2018 and historic plates
– certainly one of the nicest Series I XJs on offer

The XJ may be regarded as Sir William Lyons’ masterpiece. It was the last car the co-founder of the Jaguar company designed, and what he had created in 1968 turned out to be perennial: The luxury sedan was built over 24 years with only minor modifications regarding the bodywork.
The XJ effectively replaced not only the S series, but the 420 and Mk II along with it, becoming the sole Jaguar saloon and one of the best known British motorcars. At first, only the XJ6 was available, but in 1972, a 12-cylinder version was added, the XJ12, at that time the world’s only mass-produced 12-cylinder sedan.
The first major facelift for the 1974 model year brought raised front bumpers and, consequently, a flatter radiator grille which made the XJ appear even more slender and elegant.
In 1979 the XJ was facelifted once more, incorporating a mild redesign by Pininfarina while largely retaining Sir Lyons’ original lines. Over the whole production span, around 318,000 XJ6 and XJ12 were produced.
One of the pecularities of the XJ is that it is equipped with two separate fuel tanks positioned on each side of the boot, each with its own chrome filler cap and a changeover switch on the dash.

A real youngtimer … The BMW E36 as a convertible
– The coveted M50B25 TÜ engine makes 192PS from 2.5L displacement
– Single vanos and 24 valves
– 5 speed manual transmission
– Black exterior paintwork in combination with beige leather interior
– 3 Owners
– Mileage of only 144,000 KM
– Checkbook maintained
– Various workshop bills available
– 2015 rear shock absorber and front right wing renewed
– 2014 clutch and cardan shaft renewed

A reliable convertible with sophisticated technology for everyday use and fun on the country road

BMW’s 2nd generation of the 3 series, the E30, replaced its popular predecessor in 1982. With its straight lines, Claus Luthe – who had penned the timeless NSU Ro 80 – created a car that perfectly catered to the taste of its era. The handsome and well-built cars with their wonderfully smooth engines were originally available as 2- and 4-door sedans. As early as 1983, the Baur company at Stuttgart produced a convertible which was distributed through BMW’s official retailers. With its fixed window frames and the roll bar, it featured typical 1980s styling cues. Two years later, BMW presented their own convertible – the first in 15 years. And how different it looked in its completely open state, devoid of the aforementioned bars and beams.
It became an immediate success. Over 140,000 units were built until production ceased in 1993, three years after the launch of the E36 sedan.
30 years after its presentation, the E30 convertible has already become a sought-after classic. It is getting exceedingly difficult to find a well-preserved, original specimen – simply because many have suffered dearly at the hands of a financially inflexible clientele of 3rd and 4th hand owners attraced by the racing qualities of the E30 3 series.

Have you been trying to find an all-original E30 convertible without aftermarket wheels, spoilers or other ominous bolt-on parts? With complete history, and a mileage that makes you click your tongue rather than water your eyes? Well then, here it is!
This brilliant red 325 iC was delivered to the US when new and remained in the same ownership until recently, when it was imported to the Netherlands by the previous owner, but never registered there. The original bill of sale is present, as is the service booklet and all receipts. The odometer – converted to km – displays a mere 26,100 km which are genuine according to the consignor.
The paintwork is original with only minor stone-chip damage. The BMW has reportedly never been in an accident. The interior with its black leather upholstery presents itself completely dry, clean and well-kept. The convertible top and tarpaulin are in fine shape, and the electric top works, only the hood does not close all the way.
With air conditioning, cruise control, original BMW sound system with CD changer, electric antenna, power windows, driver’s side airbag and heated front seats, the features’ list leaves nothing to be desired.
Why cry over a tuning victim, when you can have the real thing in truly stunning condition?

The original F Series, as presented in 1948, was the first pickup truck by Ford which was not based upon a car chassis, but on a purpose-built truck platform. The models were denominated F-1 through F-8, according to their loading capacity, with the F-1 being the smallest (1/2 ton). After four years of production, the 2nd generation introduced a different naming scheme which is valid until today. What used to be the F-1 became the F-100, larger models were then called F-110, F-250, F-260, F-350 and F-360.
The 2nd generation F series, which had increased dimensions and improvements to engines and chassis, was assembled at 11 Ford factories, including one in Brazil, where production continued after it had ceased in the US. On the powertrain side, customers could choose between straight-6 and V8 engines with up to 129 kW (173 hp), with either manual 3-speed, 4-speed or automatic transmission. Power steering was introduced as an option in 1954.
The F Series continues to be one of Fords most successful product lines, which has in 2015 reached its 13th generation.

The most iconic transporter of all time!

Few vehicles, let alone vans or minibuses have gained a bigger “cult status” than the VW T2, affectionately known as “The Bus”. The popularity of the rounded panel van is unbroken, if you want evidence, all you need is one ride on The Bus through any city, anywhere: Wherever you go, you will receive spontaneous expressions of sympathy.

In 1967, the T2 became heir to the T1, the original version of the VW van which had been built for 17 years. The curved, undivided windscreen was the most prominent distinguishing feature of the “new one”. Further changes were the extended body (with wheelbase unaltered), the ball joint front axle and more powerful engines that delivered 47, later up to 70 hp to the rear axle. In Germany, over 2.5 million T2 were produced until 1979, as panel van, station wagon, flatbed, double cab, van or camper. In Mexico and Brazil, the popular Van with its pleasing shape continued to roll off the line for decades longer, with production ending as late as 2013 – by which time the “local” T2 had long since matured to classic cars.

Mercedes-Benz 380 SL

This Mercedes-Benz 380 SL is clearly distinguished as a US model by its headlights and the bumpers, which were a safety requirement at that time: The cars had to withstand a crash of up to 5 mph without damage to their body. This 380 SL was imported into Germany in 2011 and has since gone through three ownerships. The metallic beige paintwork is in good condition, and the car presents itself in well-maintained condition inside and out with only minor blemishes, such as the typical cracks in the dashboard or centre console, caused by intense UV exposure. The Mercedes is, according to the consignor, free of rust and has not been welded. A body-coloured hardtop comes with the car.
Engine-wise, the 3.8 litre V8 is installed, which in combination with the 4-speed automatic powertrain – offered since mid-year 1982 the US market – makes for a very pleasant cruising experience. The original Becker Grand Prix radio is on board, complete with electric aerial.
Engine and gearbox leak oil a little, and the odometre and clock are out of order.
The boot looks dry and clean. The original rims look very well-kept.
The car comes with german registration documents, it has valid technical approval until 07/2017 as well as historic plates. The original owner’s manual, service booklet and several repair receipts are available.

Another highlight from Mercedes-Benz!

The SL series R107, which came on the market in 1971 as the successor to the so-called “Pagoda” (W 113 series), established a new line of design at Mercedes-Benz with its broad H4 headlights and large ribbed tail lights.

The fact that this styling is well received even today, is proven by the number of registered historic vehicles in Germany: The R107 SLs take third place of popularity, only surpassed by the VW beetle and the Mercedes W 123 series (both of which were built in much higher numbers!).

As with the previous model, the US formed the largest market. The vast majority of the vehicles was equipped with high capacity V8 engines.

This vehicle set numerous standards with continuous innovations over time and is now one of the eternal classics.

Packard Patrician 400

A veritable gem for collectors of vintage American automobiles!

This Packard Patrician 400 is an early model, built in 1951. It features the highest trim level available at its time. The four-door sedan comes according to its previous owner in an unrestored, original state. Owing to the very dry conditions in the desert state of Arizona, it is largely free of visible rust and still bears an ancient paintwork with truly charming patina.

Technically, too, the Patrician is in a very decent state for its age. The straight eight engine with a capacity of 5.4 litres starts up and runs, the car is conditionally fit to drive.

The Packard has been cleared through customs and comes with the US title.

This is a very rare specimen which ought to cut a fine figure at classic car get-togethers.

Packard’s Swan Song

The Packard company had, before WWII, established a name as a premium car manufacturer. Their somewhat traditional approach with regards to both engineering and styling had served them well in the past, but became increasingly problematic in the 1950s, when constant model changes became standard. The all-new model series released in 1951 sold successfully for a few years, but could not prevent the demise of the Packard company in 1956.

The Patrician 400 was the premium trim level of the series, with plenty of chrome, including chrome teeth in the grile and chrome ports on the rear fenders. Its interiour was luxurious. The engine was still a straight eight, with 5.3 litres of capacity, which ran very smoothly owing to nine main bearings on the crankshaft. All Patricians came with a “Ultramatic” automatic transmission.
The 1955 model year brought a last facelift and the introduction of a more modern V8 engine. It came too late to save the dying swan.

Porsche 928 S

This indian red Porsche 928 S is a german first delivery, sold by the Reutlingen Porsche centre. According to the last owner, the car has been through 3 ownerships, although this cannot be vouched for. In 2015, the car was re-registered to obtain the historic plates.
As opposed to many other cars of this type, this specimen has been spared the abasement of tuning with aftermarket bolt-on parts. A sports steering wheel is fitted, however, the original wheel is included.
The previous owner kept this Porsche in good shape and made sure it was serviced regularly.
The 928 displays traces of use in accordance to 30 years of age. The paintwork is largely original with re-painting in certain places, but the car is not devoid of scratches and small dents, in particular on the roof and the fenders. The black leather interior is in decent condition for its age. The 16″ alloys are largely free of kerb damage.
In terms of equipment, the 928 has air conditioning and power windows. As a 1985 model, it already has the windscreen aerial and the new instrument cluster.
A slight oil leakage from engine and gearbox requires attention.
An sporty and enjoyable classic that looks anything but dated.

The other great Porsche

This was supposed to be the heir to the throne, successor to the forever-young 911, which in the late 1960s was thought to be way past its prime, with not much of a future ahead. Hence a radically different layout was favoured: The new top-of-the-range model was designed to be a luxury touring car, with a powerful watercooled V8 engine in the front, providing 176 kW (240 hp) from 4,5 l of displacement, and a transaxle layout, which enabled a weight distribution of nearly 50/50 (front/rear). The 928 debuted in 1977 at the Geneva Motor show. In 1978, it won the coveted “European Car of the Year” award, as the first sports car ever – a clear indication of just how advanced the 928 was both technically, as well as with regards to styling. Many Porsche enthusiasts, however, greeted the 928 with something ranging from suspicion to downright rejection, as the 911 continued to sell. Nevertheless, the 928 became a success in its own right, with a construction period of no less than 18 years. Later models featured a 5.4 litre engine with up to 257 kW (350 hp). Only about 1/5 of all 928 came with a manual gearbox!

When Antonio Ducati founded the company in Bologna in 1926, it initially produced components for radios. In 1946, the production of the Cucciolo bicycle auxiliary engine was added. In the same decade, the company began developing its own complete vehicles. In 1953, the company was split into Ducati Elettronica S.p.A. and the motorcycle manufacturer Ducati Meccanica S.p.A.. From 1983, Ducati cooperated with the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Cagiva, which took over Ducati completely in 1985, due to persistently poor business performance. Cagiva itself became insolvent in 1996 and sold 51 percent of Ducati to the American Texas Pacific Group, which took over the brand completely in 1998. In 2005, the Italian Investindustrial company took over the shares of the Texas Pacific Group. In April 2012, Audi and the previous owner Investindustrial announced in a press release that Audi would acquire 100% of the shares in Ducati Motor Holding through its subsidiary Lamborghini. Audi also announced that Ducati would be integrated into the Audi Group and thus also into the Volkswagen Group following approval by the antitrust authorities.
