This SL is equipped with the 3.8 liter V8 engine (M116) and provides 114 kW (155 hp), the maximum speed is 185 km / h. The SL series R 107, which came on the market in 1971 as the successor to the so-called “Pagoda” (W 113 series), established a new line of design at Mercedes-Benz with its broad H4 headlights and large ribbed tail lights.

The fact that this styling is well received even today, is proven by the number of registered historic vehicles in Germany: The R107 SLs take third place of popularity, only surpassed by the VW beetle and the Mercedes W 123 series (both of which were built in much higher numbers!).

As with the previous model, the US formed the largest market. The vast majority of the vehicles was equipped with high capacity V8 engines.

This vehicle set numerous standards with continuous innovations over time and is now one of the eternal classics.

The French revolution and an automotive icon: “La toute petite voiture” (really little car)

The 2CV was the mid-1930s brainchild of Pierre-Jules Boulanger, the head of Citroƫn
Long before the Volkswagen was heard of, M. Boulanger decided that there was a market for a cheap, easily maintained, basic car to replace the horse and cart on French rural roads, and even on the fields. His specification was for an “umbrella on wheels”, a car that could carry 50 kilogrammes and four people at up to 60kph and cross a ploughed field carrying a basket of eggs. Since the seats were removable to allow animals to be carried, that has sometimes been elaborated to “a car capable of driving across a ploughed field with a sheep in the back and a pile of eggs on the front seat, without breaking the eggs”.
Simple, almost primitive and yet full of innovation, the unusual vehicle made friends right from the start. Designed before world war II, mass production began only in 1949 and then continued with relatively minor modifications for over 4 decades.
The proverbial reliability of the small Citroen is based on the principle that what’s not there can’t break:

Audi CoupƩ GL

When did you see it last time on the road?

The presented vehicle is second hand (family owned) and had its German first registration on 11/25/1982. With its 1.8 liter engine and 66 kW (90 hp) it is sufficiently motorized to easily keep up in today’s traffic. The automatic gearbox also contributes to a comfortable driving. Despite unwarranted mileage of 104,539 km the car was neatly repainted in its original colour alpine white. The car presents itself optically and technically well, even from the bottom dry and nearly rust free. The interior in brown-beige velour is in excellent condition. There is also an original (mono) -radio and the original manual.

German registration (TƜV to 2.16) and historic plates.

There is a current Classic Data appraisal of ā‚¬ 8,000 (condition: 2+).

Is that the original quattro? – No, it is not, it only looks alikeā€¦

The confusion is not undesirable, after all, it takes a lot more money for the much rarer Audi quattro!

In 1981, Audi brought a sports coupĆ© on the market, which based on the Audi 80 B2 (type 81) which in turn based on the legendary Audi Quattro. The coupĆ© and the ā€œ80ā€ were identical to the a-pillar apart from the striking twin headlamps of the coupĆ©. The most noticeable features at the rear were the high, narrow taillights and the light band. The 5-cylinder engines were available for the GT as were the approved 4-cylinder motors from the Audi 80 for the GL. CoupĆ©s of the first model years with GT equipment can be recognized by the darker foiling of the body below the bumpers and side skirts.

After the facelift in the summer of 1984, the cars are bulkier at back and front, have bevelled headlamp lens and the rear spoiler of the quattro.

BMW’s 2nd generation of the 3 series, the E30, replaced its popular predecessor in 1982. With its straight lines, Claus Luthe – who had penned the timeless NSU Ro 80 – created a car that perfectly catered to the taste of its era. The handsome and well-built cars with their wonderfully smooth engines were originally available as 2- and 4-door sedans. In 1985, BMW added a convertible, and in 1987, a station wagon named “Touring” completed the lineup.
The 325 iX, available as of 1985, introduced four-wheel-drive to the 3 series. Diesel- and Turbo-Diesel models were offered as of 1985 (324 d) and 1987 (324 td). Motorsport enthusiasts’ dream was of course the M3 with up to 175 kW (238 hp) of power. In total, 2,339,520 units of the E30 series were built, nearly doubling the figures of the preceding E21.
35 years after its presentation, the E30 is already fast becoming a sought-after classic. It is getting exceedingly difficult to find a well-preserved, original specimen – simply because many have suffered dearly at the hands of a financially inflexible clientele of 3rd and 4th hand owners attraced by the racing qualities of the E30 3 series.

BMW 633 CSi

This BMW 633 CSi coupƩ is a US import with an unwarranted mileage of 122,700 mls which comes in the forever elegant colour scheme of white paintwork and bright leather interior. The high-torque straight-6 cylinder with the BMW-typical, beefy sound delivers 135 kW (184 hp) from 3.2 litres of displacement. In this case it is connected to the proven 3-speed automatic gearbox by ZF.
The car has been re-painted, albeit not up to the highest standards: Window seals and screws have been painted over. Small dents and minor blemishes can be found on what is said to be an accident-free vehicle.
The tri-colour door panels are well-kept, the leather seats display traces of wear and tear. Due to intense UV radiation, the dashboard has become cracked and the sky slightly discoloured. The boot looks dry and clean.
Like most 6 series, this one has a rich equipment, which includes air conditioning, cruise control, power windows front and rear and an electric steel sunroof.

This BMW needs a bit of attention, then the historic plates should not be a problem.

Upon its presentation, the design anticipated the styling of the future 7 Series (E23). Inside, there is the driver-related cockpit – a 70s novelty at BMW – with the center console turned slightly towards the driver. Otherwise, the upper-class coupĆ© boasts lush luxury, since the 6 Series was designed for a comfortable ride. And that is not at all contrary to a sporting performance, least of all with the more powerful engines of the 635 CSi.

The 6 Series has the reputation of easy maintenance and its engines are said to be virtually indestructible. For this reason, this BMW is well placed for a second spring as a classic that is fit for everyday use.

BMW M 635 CSi

This is a BMW M 635 CSi from the popular E24 series, which has returned from the sunshine state of California to Germany in 2014. Its unwarranted mileage amounts to 109,540 mls. It is an originally european delivery, identifiable by its bumpers and the german labelling of dashboard and centre console (trip computer, control lamps etc).
The colour combination of black/ brown gives the coupƩ a timeless, elegant and at the same time sporty appearance, an impression which is reinforced by the beautiful chrome parts and lets the hearts of its fans skip a beat. The 17 inch chrome rims shine and give the car that certain something.
The interior looks very well maintained and the seats with their noble shade of brown are in a really good condition for their age. The dashboard is similarly free of visible cracks.
The typically long list of features, such as air conditioning, trip computer, power windows and power steel sunroof further increase the “ultimate driving experience” (BMW slogan) with this power-packed 6 Series coupĆ©.
It needs to be stated that the engine makes mechanical noises and needs to be overhauled together with undercarriage and steering.

Every Mercedes-Benz S-Class can lay claim to a number of superlatives, but if one beats all others in terms of popularity, it is the W126. No other S-Class has been sold in such large numbers or over such a long period of time. The timelessly elegant saloon was designed by Bruno Sacco and presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1979. Thanks to an improved drag coefficient and reduced weight, fuel consumption had fallen by around 10% compared to the previous model. The CoupƩ was added to the range in 1981. The engine range included 6- and 8-cylinder engines with a displacement of up to 5.6 liters and up to 220 kW (300 hp), 5- and 6-cylinder diesel engines were only available in sedans for the North American market. The W126 received a facelift in 1985 and remained popular with politicians and celebrities around the world for many more years. Production in Germany was discontinued in 1991, but continued in South Africa until 1994. A total of 818,063 saloons and 74,060 coupƩs were produced. The W126 was prized for its outstanding build quality and durability.

The Porsche 944 was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1981. It was based technically and optically on the 924 which had come out 5 years earlier. The Audi sourced engine of the 924, which had come under criticism by Porsche purists, was replaced by a genuinly Porsche 2.5 litre straight-4, which was effectively half of the 928’s 5.0 litre V8.
A turbo version was introduced in 1985, further power increases came with the 944 S in 1987 and the 944 S2 in 1989. The strongest engine available in a 944 was a 3.0 litre with 184 kW (250 hp) and a top speed of 260 km/h – impressive performance for a 4-cylinder car!
A convertible was only available in 1990 and 1991. Owing to its transaxle layout, handling of the 944 was superb, which is why it won the “Best Handling Production Car in America” award in 1984. In 1991, the 944 was replaced by the 968 which retained the characteristic styling cues of the 924/ 944.

Immediately after WWII, Mercedes-Benz had only offered 4-cylinder engines in their passenger cars. This changed when at the Frankfurt Motor Show of 1951, the company presented two 6-cylinder models: One was the range-topping 300 (W 186), the other the 220 (W 187). The latter essentially used the chassis and body shell of the pre-war W 153, presented in 1938, just that the previously free-standing headlights were now integrated into the fenders in an attempt at making the car look more modern. In direct comparison to more progressively styled, ponton-bodied cars like the Borgward Hansa, the 220 still looked positively old-fashioned from the start. What was modern and received plenty of praise, however, was the inline 6-cylinder engine with overhead camshaft and oversquare dylinder dimensions. It provided a power output of 59 kW (80 hp), sufficient for a top speed of 140 km/h (or 145 km/h for the convertible). So it doesn’t come as a surprise that, while the W 187 had an unusually short production run, the basic layout of the M 180 engine lived on, with many modifications and power enhancements, until 1989. A total of 18,514 units of the W 187 were built, with the coupe – only available 1954 / 1955 – being by far the rarest model, of which only 85 pieces were manufactured.

Mercedes-Benz 450 SL

This Mercedes SL is equipped with the 4.5 litre V8 engine (M117) and 165 kW (225 hp). The vehicle was built in 1973 (thus the tiny European bumpers), it displays an unwarranted mileage of 139,433 km and has a German registration with historic plates!
This vehicle benefits from its extremely rare but original colour combination of aqua blue exterior paint (MB colour code 917) with red MB Tex interior and red carpets. The interior is in good condition, only the centre console is damaged by a failed expansion attempt front and rear.

Fitted is the SL with cruise control and power windows.
Due to its existence in Southern California, the vehicle is almost rust free, paint and chrome are good. Hardtop in body colour, soft top in dark blue, good condition.

A really nice car in good original condition.
