When Fiat took over Lancia in 1969, the model program was getting on in years. The models Flaminia, Flavia or Fulvia were technically remarkable, not profitable or no sales success. Together with Citroen one worked for approximately 2 years on the development of a new vehicle. A large Lancia, as successor of the Fiat 130, and/or the Citroen DS series should develop. Until 1972 the French government terminated co-operation. Alone Lancia began thus with zero. At the common development Turin wanted to change only little. One retained the front-wheel drive and the fastback. So some parts and components could be taken over from the 1972 presented Lancia beta. The V6 engine of the Fiat 130war too weakly and due to its size the Gamma still front-heavier would have made, developed Lancia on basis of the Flavia boxer engine a new engine. For the Italian domestic market there was a 2-liter version and for the export the displacement was extended to 2.5 liters. Signore Aldo Brovarona at Pininfarina was responsible for the design. The classical Lancia trapezoid line, the paragraph in the roof and the broad, lateral bead over the entire vehicle length are the special body details of the Coupés, which still today stand for special elegance. With the cultivated boxer engine, the precise manual 5-speed transmission, the almost direct steering and the comfortable chassis, longer journeys are extremely comfortable.

Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (964)

Black is beautiful? You bet! Especially when “the colour which is no colour” meets one of the most popular sports car designs of all times, and is nicely contrasted by a tan leather interior, as is the case with this Porsche 911 Carrera 2 coupé from the 964 series. The original sales bill gives evidence that this car was delivered new to Steve Taub Porsche in Santa Monica, California, in 1991. The 911 then went through three ownerships in the US, as can be seen from the comprehensive file of invoices. It was imported to Germany in 2007 by its current owner, a Porsche collector, who subjected the car to a full repainting in 2012. The carpet and headliner were also renewed in 2012, and a new suspension installed. The speedometer was converted to kilometers, with the correct mileage taken over.
Cup mirrors and 17″ cup rims enhance the sporty look of this Porsche. It also features dual airbags, power windows, air conditioning, power sunroof and a Becker Indianapolis navigation system. The 3.6 litre engine runs very smooth, it is mated with the Tiptronic gearshift.
The 911, recently valued by Classic Data at € 63,000 (condition 2) comes with German registration documents and valid technical approval until 11/2018.
To sum it up, this black beauty is a very well maintained, matching numbers vehicle with complete history, ready to take to the road.

After 16 years of production, the highly popular “G model” of the Porsche 911 was due for a thorough makeover in 1989. The successor, which bore the internal code 964, is said to have shared no more than 15 % of its parts with model it replaced. While retaining the characteristic basic design, the 964 brought a cornucopia of technical innovations. For the first time in a 911, all wheel drive, derived from the technology carrier Porsche 959, and the Tiptronic automatic gearshift became available. Power steering, airbags as well as ABS brakes likewise found their way into the 911. The suspension was revised substantially, it now featured coil springs and shock absorbers instead of torsion bars. From the outside, the most noticeable change lay in the large, integrated bumpers, as well as in the electric rear spoiler which was raised and lowered according to the travelling speed.
In the rear, there was still the air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine – now with twin-spark – which most commonly had 3.6 litres of displacement, though 3.3 and 3.75 litre variants were available, as well as turbo engines.
The 964 was the last 911 model which was offered as a traditional Targa with the removable roof.

Ford Mustang Coupé

The owner is moving and cannot take this beauty with him – but what is sad for him, can now be lucky for you, because Mustangs like this one are getting increasingly hard to find. This is a 1967 hardtop version, the model year that brought the first redesign: The car had gained a few centimetres in length and width and the interior was revised. This example has the 4.7 l Windsor V8 engine installed. The performance data as stated in the German registration documents is significantly lower than the factory values.

According to the previous owner who held the Mustang for two years, the car was elaborately refurbished both technically as well as optically in 2014. It received a new paintwork in gold metallic, a set of 4 new white sidewall tyres and re-upholstering of the black leather seats. As a result, the Mustang presents itself in an attractive condition throughout.
A number of parts have reportedly been renewed, among them tie rods, radiator grille, fuel pump, steering valve, wishbones, buffer blocks, carburettor, exhaust system and bumpers.

The Mustang has a valid technical approval until 05/2015 and historic plates. A recent Classic-Analytics appraisal over € 20,500 (condition: 2-) is available.

The original pony car – a legend takes its course

Who would have guessed how big the market gap really was, before Ford bridged it with this car? Customers camping outside the shops in order to grab one of the desired models … 680,000 units sold within two years … America was upside down, because Ford’s concept of “full performance at a fair price” had come to full fruition.

The Mustang was a trendsetter – so much so, the whole species of “Pony Cars” were named after it. Their typical features are the elongated hood, a relatively short tail, enough space for 4 people – but first and foremost, engines with more power than the running gear and braking system could handle … Even the first generation Mustangs came with up to 400 hp from just under 7 litres’ engine capacity.

The essence of “the American Way of Drive” , unadulterated and undiluted.

Siata Spring

– Siata Spring, exotic roadster, completely unrestored and original
– even the underbody has not been welded
– four owners from new, all in Germany, one of them held this car for 38 years
– very low original mileage of 37,200 km, as the car was mostly used as showroom eye-catcher
– brought back into running order in 2016, new fuel pump and brakes
– incredible state of preservation for a 48 year old unrestored vehicle
– it will be difficult to find a Siata Spring in equally original condition
– German registration documents

The Siata company was founded in 1926 by Giorgio Ambrosini, and specialised originally in modifying and tuning of Fiat cars. Production of their own Fiat-based sports cars commenced in 1948. For a brief two years, 1959-1961, Siata cooperated with Abarth. In the 1960s, the company was best known for elegantly styled coupé and roadster bodies. The Siata Spring, presented in 1967, was a bit of a breach with this tradition. It is best described as a retro-styled fun car. While taking styling cues from old-school British roadsters, such as swept wheel arches, running boards and separate headlights, it was no precise replica of any existing car. The large upright radiator grille was strictly ornamental, the engine being located in the rear as the underlying Fiat 850 technology postulated. The somewhat quirky little roadster was quite a success, but it could not prevent the Siata company from going bankrupt in 1970. The assembly line of the Spring was sold to a newly founded company in Sardinia named Orsa, and production was continued from 1973 to 1975 which minor improvements. Today, the Siata Spring is a very rare sight indeed, the surviving examples of this unique and likeable car are mostly held by a committed fan base. Owing to the ready availability of Fiat 850 spare parts and a well-organized club scene, the Siata Spring’s future looks bright.

– 1979 Opel Commodore 2,5 S Berlina, only two owners from new
– celebrity pre-owned (well known comedian)
– 2.5 litre 6-cylinder engine with 85 kW (116 hp) and manual 4-speed gearbox
– classic, elegant appearance: white paintwork with black vinyl roof and trim lines
– typical late 1970s brown-beige velours interior in fine condition
– fog lights, tilting roof, power windows, original radio
– height-adjustable driver’s seat, right rearview mirror, power steering
– steel rims with decorative chrome rings
– German registration documents, valid technical approval until 08/2019 and historic plates

In 1967, Opel presented its first Commodore as an up-market variant of the Rekord C on which it was based. The styling was altered slightly, the trim level upgraded a little, but it was under the bonnet where the real difference lay: The Commodore was available only with inline 6-cylinder engines, originally with 2.2 and 2.5 litres of capacity. The first generation, known as Commodore A, was replaced in 1972 by the Commodore B when Opel rolled out a new Rekord model. Likewise, in 1977 the Commodore C closely followed the Rekord E. While body styles of the first two generations comprised two- and four-door sedans as well as a coupé, the latter was dropped for the Commodore C, which instead received a station wagon variant in 1979.
The Commodore C was sold in the UK as Vauxhall Viceroy, it was also manufactured in South Africa as Chevrolet Commodore, and it became the basis for the Holden Commodore in Australia, where the Commodore name lives on until today.
On the German market, the Commodore never enjoyed a huge sales success, which is why it was phased out in 1982, while the Rekord E continued on until 1986.

Ferrari 328 GTB Berlinetta from the last development stage of the 2-seater with naturally aspirated V8 engine
– 3.2 L V8 petrol engine with 199 kW (270 hp) and 5-speed manual gearbox
– Left-hand drive in the Euro version
– Registered in Germany in July 1988
– 1 owner only
– TÜV classic car rating with condition grade 2
– Stored in dry rooms for 3 years. Part of a collection

Original condition with only a few signs of use

At the Frankfurt Motor Show of 1985, Ferrari presented the successor to the 308 after a full ten years in production. It was more of an evolution than a revolution, as the body was only mildly modified and the engine was based on the earlier model, but its displacement had grown to 3.2 litres and the power output now reached 201 kW (270 hp). Available body styles continued to comprise the Berlinetta (GTB) and Targa (GTS).
Among Ferrari enthusiasts, the 328 has the reputation of being a reliable car, and maintenance is facilitated by the fact that for many small repairs, the engine does not need to be taken out of the vehicle, as is often the case with sportscars from the Ferrari stable.
Possibly owing to the fact that it was more of a facelift than an entirely new car, the 328 was only produced for 5 years, it was replaced in 1989 by the all-new 348. By that time, 6,068 units had been built. The 328 is the last Ferrari with a transverse V8, the 348 featured a longitudinally mounted engine.

The Jeep Wagoneer was Jeep’s first luxury vehicle. From 1963 to 1991, this model series was first produced by Willys Jeep, via American Motors (AMC), then by Chrysler and marketed as a station wagon. From 1966 the Wagoneer received a V8 engine, air conditioning, power steering and an adjustable steering column. The Wagoneer received the automatic, permanent all-wheel drive Quadra-Trac in 1973. From 1983 AMC replaced this system with the Select-Trac. In addition to the 4WD mode, it was possible to switch to a fuel-saving 2WD mode. It wasn’t until 1984 that the Wagoneer became the Grand Wagoneer. The 1986 Grand Wagoneer, powered by a 5.9 liter 360 cubic inch V8 (the 360 cubic inch was the last petrol engine to be offered in North America), was a luxury vehicle with leather upholstery and comfortable all-wheel drive. From this model year it received a new four-part radiator grille. The interior was changed with square wood grain overlays on the dashboard and the door panels, plus a small Jeep emblem as a hood ornament. This luxurious off-road cruiser was built without major changes until the end of production and then replaced by the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

BMW Alpina B11 3.5 Limited Edition

– BMW Alpina B11 3.5 Limited Edition (E32)
– one of only 332 units built
– 6-cylinder engine with 176 kW (239 hp) from 3.5 litres of capacity
– grey leather interior
– original Alpina alloys and steering wheel
– power windows and sunroof
– air conditioning and trip computer
– repaired accident in the rear section
– valid technical approval until 10/2020, German registration documents and historic plates

BMW’s second generation 7 series, presented in 1986, replaced the E23 after nearly 10 years in production. It was designed by Claus Luthe and internally named E32. As is customary with top end products of any manufacturer, the new model introduced a variety of innovative features, in the case of the E32 those comprised CAN bus, traction control, xenon headlamps, park distance control and double glazing, to name only a few. In a push to outperform the main rival Mercedes-Benz, BMW introduced a V12 engine in the 750i, available as of 1987. Just in case, a V16 was developed and tested in 1988, but management decided against its roll-out. It needs to be said that the E32 was a powerful car regardless of the engine choice. Top speed in the 750i was voluntarily limited to 250 km/h – those wanting to travel even faster were catered for by BMW tuner Alpina, who provided beefed-up variants of the 6- 8- or the 12-cylinder engines. Diesel engines had not yet found their way into a luxury sedan at that time. The E32 series was available with a long wheel-base. A facelift in 1992 brought new engines and 5-speed automatic gearboxes, as well as minor changes to the interior. Production continued until 1994, by which time 311,068 cars had been built.

– reportedly never been in an accident, no raced and no contact with salt
– painted in its original colour, grand prix white (Porsche colour code L908)
– black leather interior in good condition
– only 47.500 km from new according to the odometer

– electrically adjustable seats
– bicolour (black/silver) Fuchs wheels
– several repair or service receipts available
– expert appraisal states a value of € 220,000 (condition 1-2)
– German registration documents, new technical approval upon purchase

It is based on a legend, and became a legend in its own right. The Porsche 930, better known as the 911 Turbo, was not only the fastest serial production sports car in Germany when it entered the market in 1975, but also the first production sports car in the world that made use of an exhaust gas turbocharger. It owes its existence to homologation regulations but quickly became a cult car, topping the Porsche range and attracting wealthy customers all around the world.
The models offered up to 1977 had a 3.0 litre engine which produced 191 kW (260 hp), almost 25 % more than the contemporaneous 911 Carrera. In 1978, an intercooler was added and the displacement increased to 3.3 litres. Power output reached 221 kW (300 hp).
Targa and convertible variants of the 911 Turbo are rare due to the fact that they were only added to the lineup in 1987 – and they came with a hefty price tag: A 911 Turbo Cabrio cost around DM 22,000 more than a Turbo Coupé and almost twice as much as a Carrera Coupé!
All 930 models prior to 1989 came with a 4-speed manual gearbox, only for the last year of its production, a 5-speed gearbox was introduced, which lived on in the successor, the 964 Turbo.

The successor to the very popular E30 was presented in 1990 as the third generation of BMW’s 3 series. Internally called E36, the new sedan was considerably larger (and pricier) than its predecessor. It introduced completely new styling cues, such as the glass covers over the traditional double headlights, the forward-slanting kidney grille or the higher rear section. There were a variety of available body styles: The 2-door sedan had become an elegant coupé which shared very few parts with the 4-door variant. A shorter hatchback called Compact was added in 1994. In 1995, the Touring station wagon followed. A factory convertible as well as the (rare) Baur convertible, offered in the E36 series for the last time, and the Z3 roadster (E36/7), based on the E36 Compact platform, made the lineup complete.
The choice of engines was huge, with no petrol engine producing less than 73 kW (100 hp). Top of the range was the M3, which in 1992 offered 210 kW (286 hp) from a 3.0 litre engine, later being replaced by a 3.2 litre, 236 kW (321 hp) powerplant in 1997. 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines were also available. The E36 was built totalling 2.5 million units at the BMW plants in Munich, Regensburg, Dingolfing as well as at the newly built Spartanburg factory in the US.
