Mercedes-Benz 560 SL

– stunning low-mileage Mercedes-Benz 560 SL
– US model, as these cars were not offered in Germany when new
– built in 1989, last year of the production run
– amazing colour combination with dark blue, perforated leather seats
– body-coloured hardtop and dark blue convertible top all in good shape
– anti-lock brakes, driver’s airbag
– burlwood centre console
– climate control, original radio on board, foldable centre armrest
– the top model at the peak level of R107 development

The Mercedes-Benz roadsters of the R107 series replaced the W113 “pagoda” in 1971. While the outgoing model only featured 6-cylinder engines, Mercedes had planned the new car with enough room for larger power plants under the bonnet, obviously with the North-American market as their main target – and indeed, that is where the SL proved most successful. Over a production run of a full 18 years, a total of 237,287 convertibles were built at the factory’s Sindelfingen plant, most of them equipped with V8 engines of varying capacity as 350, 380, 420, 450, 500 and 560 SL. 6-cylinder models were also offered, originally as 280 SL from 1974-1985 and later as 300 SL from 1985-1989.
The 560 SL was produced exclusively for the Japanese, American and Australian markets. Even faster, however, was the 500 SL with its European specifications, which was not sold in the US due to emission restraints.
Through continuous innovation over the many model years, the R107 set plenty of standards. When it was finally replaced by the R129 in 1989, it was already becoming one of the perennial automobile classics.

– 5-gear manual transmission
– 3 owners within the same family
– Registered increase in performance through Lexmaul components

In the summer of 1984, the public was able to admire the new Kadett GSI at the Paris Motor Show. Based on the technical design of its predecessor, the Kadett D with front-wheel drive but with a new hatchback body, it was voted “Car of the Year 1984”. Two years later, the Kadett GSi could also be ordered as a five-door model. After only a short time, customers accepted the new shape and the Kadett E began to soar, achieving 625,000 new registrations throughout Europe in 1987. The Caravan had long since become the load master of all classes. In the fall of 1985, for the first time since the Kadett C, there was also a variant with a notchback. The GSi finally became an icon when, starting in 1988, it left the competition behind with its pioneering 150-hp 16-valve engine, the first Opel large-series engine with four valves per cylinder. The Kadett D was already the best compact with a drag coefficient of 0.39. The body of the E model was optimized in the wind tunnel and achieved a sensational 0.32. The sporty GSI with a coefficient of 0.30 became the most streamlined sedan in the world. This sixth generation Opel Kadett was the last generation before the introduction of the Astra models. The GSI (Grand Sport Injection) designation was very popular and continues to be used by Opel today.

Audi Ur-Quattro 20 V

This rally legend comes as a very rare Quattro version
– 3 owners only; since 1997 with the same owner (an Audi dealer)
– 2.2-litres in-line five-cylinder engine with turbocharging
– Rare S2 engine with 220 hp instead of 200 hp
– Original engine
– 5 gear manual switch
– Digital speedometer unit
– Alloy wheels
– Black taillights
– 2020 NEW: timing belt, master brake cylinder + summer tires
– Complete restoration at Km 112.482: New paint inside + outside in original color titan grey-metallic, new clutch
– At approx. Km 120.000 control panel insert replaced (since the display could not be adapted, the mileage was resetted at zero)
– Clean service booklet + owner’s manual available
– German registration

Here comes the much celebrated “Vorsprung durch Technik” (advance through technology). The Audi quattro with permanent all-wheel drive and five-cylinder turbo engine was legendary from day one. It was built over a whole decade, 11,548 units in total – that’s significantly more than the originally planned 400 for racing homologation purposes! Speaking of racing: Unforgettable, how Walter Röhrl and his teammates kept winning rally after rally, leaving the competition for dead.
It was the discovery that a 4-wheel-drive VW Iltis had far better traction on a slippery slope than even the most powerful standard car, which led to the development of the quattro – which was given its name by one of the chief engineers, Walter Treser, at that time Director of Pre-Development.
The quattro sparked a veritable all-wheel-boom. Nobody cared that the front half was almost identical to the rather homely Audi 80… With this car, Audi had finally got a foothold in the premium segment. And today? Well-maintained specimens are rare, because as is so often the case with performance cars, they were tuned and tinkered with till the cows came home.
A great vehicle, all the fun on the road plus a huge potential regarding the price development.

Mercedes-Benz 500 SL

An impressive Mercedes-Benz 500 SL is being offered here. The exact history of the vehicle is not known and it seems to be a European delivery, as can also be seen by the bumpers and headlights.
The mighty 5.0 litre V8 produces 170 kW (231 hp) and is mated to the 4-speed automatic gearbox.
With its dark blue paintwork and tan MB tex interior, the SL still looks elegant after 30 years. The convertible top in matching dark blue is in an acceptable condition regarding the age of the vehicle. Traces of a not very professionally repaired accident damage remain visible on the right hand side of the car.
The SL features the 2+2 seater arrangement. Driver and passenger seats appear to have been re-upholstered given the good condition. Dashboard and centre console are slightly cracked, but altogether the car is in an acceptable condition regarding its mileage of over 220,000 mls.
A rare factory option in 1984 was the driver’s airbag, which is installed here, as well as the climate control (currently not working). Owner’s manual and service booklet – the latter in French – are included with this interesting convertible, which is being sold as a restoration object due to the considerably required repairs on body and mechanical parts.

A dream of automobile! From 1971 – 1989 the R107 founded the unbeatable reputation of the brand Mercedes-Benz in the open two-seater segment.

The top model 500 SL – equipped with the 450 SLC 5.0 known 5.0 litre V8 engine (M 117) – replaced the 450 SL and from the beginning with its 240, later 245 hp (or 223 hp with catalytic converter). This brings the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and delivers a top speed of 225 km/h (with catalyst 215 km/h). The production of the R 107 series ended in August 1989, more than 18 years after it had started. This makes it one of the longest-built chassis from Mercedes-Benz. A total of 237,287 open vehicles were produced at the Sindelfingen main plant.

This vehicle set plenty of standards through continuous innovation and has become one of the eternal automobile classics.

A must-have for classic car connoisseurs!

BMW 316 (E30) Baur-Cabrio TC2

– rare BMW 316 Baur convertible TC2
– first registered in 1987, at a time when the factory convertible was already available
– only two German owners from new
– lambda-controlled catalytic converter retrofitted
– 2015/2016 around € 1,000 invested on repair and maintenance
– new windshield sealing frame, new noise-absorbing mats, new fan belt
– oil change, underbody cavity sealing with Fluidoil
– new set of tyres on the original BMW alloys
– gray velours interior with more pronounced traces of use on driver’s seat
– valid technical approval until 01/2019 and historic plates
– Baur Topcabrio, the more extraordinary way of E30 open-top motoring

BMW’s 2nd generation of the 3 series, the E30, replaced its popular predecessor in 1982. With its straight lines, Claus Luthe – who had penned the timeless NSU Ro 80 – created a car that perfectly catered to the taste of its era. The handsome and well-built cars with their wonderfully smooth engines were originally available as 2- and 4-door sedans. As early as 1983, the Baur company at Stuttgart produced a convertible which was distributed through BMW’s official retailers – as had been the case with the predecessor E21. With its fixed window frames and the roll bar, it featured typical 1980s styling cues. The official name was “TC2”, which meant it was the second edition of Baur’s “top cabrio”. Demand was satisfactory – until two years later, BMW presented their own convertible, the first in 15 years. In its completely open state, devoid of the aforementioned bars and beams, it was considered more elegant than the Baur version and became an immediate sales success. Baur – who ironically had designed the factory E30 convertible – continued to offer the TC2 until 1991, albeit with limited success. In the end, 10,865 Baur TC2 had been assembled, making up less than 10 % of the 140,000 factory convertibles. It is precisely this infrequence which nowadays makes a well-kept Baur convertible a sought-after alternative.

Mercedes-Benz SL 300 (R129)

When Diana, Princess of Wales, dumped her Jaguar in favour of a red Mercedes-Benz SL from the R 129 series, British media was in turmoil. The princess eventually had not choice but to return the “foreign” car.
A different, nearly as beautiful red 300 SL can be yours without any media storm. It’s a 1993 model which has found its way home from Lithuania. According to the consignor, the car has gone through only two ownerships, the latter holding it for 10 years and using it only during the summer months.
The SL appears to have been completely repainted, with most of the paint still in good shape and only little visible rust. The leather interior has been renewed at some point, it is in good condition. Dashboard and faux wood centre console are well preserved and devoid of cracks.
The SL features electrically adjustable, heated seats, power windows, cruise control, a leather steering wheel, fog lights and dual airbags. It runs on Lorinser 19″ alloys, not without curb damage. The tyres are in need of replacing. A body-coloured hard top is included.
Engine compartment and boot look clean, and the car generally makes a cared-for impression.
Under the bonnet, there is the 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine installed which produces 140 kW (190 hp) of power and is coupled to a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Get a hold of this one now, and in a few years from now you can boast that you bought the SL for very small money…

At the 1989 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz presented the new SL from the R 129 series. Its predecessor had been on the market for no less than 18 years, so the target group was more than ready for the new car and received it enthusiastically – so much so that early customers had to put up with a delivery period of several years. The aerodynamical wedge-shape design by Bruno Sacco won the international “Car Design Award”. Technologically, the new SL was very advanced, especially with regards to its safety features. They comprised a sensor-controlled automatic roll-over bar which would be raised within 0.3 seconds if needed, as well as integral seats.
The fabric top mechanism was no longer manually operated as it had been in the R 107, but electrohydraulically, it opened and closed within 30 seconds. The aluminium hardtop weighed about 10 kg less than the one of its predecessor.
The R 129 was available with a variety of engines, from 2.8 litres of capacity all the way up to 7.3 litres in the rare AMG V12 variants. A total of 204,940 examples were built over the course of 12 years, with two facelifts in 1995 and 1998, most of them equipped with V8 engines.

Triumph TR3A

Flowing lines, chromed spoke wheels, doors so low you could reach out and touch the road if you ever felt you wanted to… this can only be a British roadster. And not just any: What we’ve got here is a Triumph TR3A, and a truly attractive one at that. This specimen was built in 1959 and has gone through four ownerships altogether, the current holding it in his possession since 2001. A significant amount of invoices testify to regular servicing and maintenance, in total, over € 23,000 has been spent on this vehicle in recent years. Accordingly, a Classic Data appraisal states that this Triumph is in condition 2+, has a market value of € 31,000 and a replacement value of over € 35,800. The 2.0 litre engine was revised in 2015, it produces no less than 74 kW (100 hp) of power – remarkable figures for a 1950s sports car. Between engine and gearbox, a slight oil leak can be seen, otherwise the engine looks clean and is said to run smooth. The fiery red paintwork is in good shape, as are the chrome parts, with only slight traces of rust. The convertible top has once been replaced and is in a good condition, as is the beige leather interior. In 2011, the steering was rebuilt to use a rack-and-pinion system. The Triumph comes with German registration documents, and historic plates.

A sales success, especially in the important American market – and the winner of many prestigious car races of its era: the Triumph TR2 helped to establish the reputation of the Standard Motor Company of Coventry, England, as maker of sportive open two seaters. With its four-cylinder engine producing 67 kW (91 hp) of power from 1,991 cc of capacity, this roadster was extraordinarily powerful and fast for that time. 8,636 copies were built between 1953 and 1955. In 1955, the next generation, named TR3, was ready. It featured disk brakes and larger carburettors, tried and tested on the race track. A 1957 facelift brought a wider radiator grille, a boot lock and exterior door handles. These vehicles are nowadays referred to as “TR3A”, although this designation was never officially used. Similarly, the last variant of the TR3, available in 1962 only, while the succeeding TR4 was already being sold, is today referred to as “TR3B”. In that last model year, a larger, 2,138 cc engine was being offered. Across all variants, approximately 74,800 TR3s were built, making it one of the most successful Triumph models.
TR2 and early (up to 1957) TR3 models are suitable for the Mille Miglia.

Mercedes-Benz 190 C

Every now and then, a true collector’s item finds it way back into the market, and the astounded public rub their eyes in disbelief: Can this really be true? Here’s an unrestored “little tail fin” Mercedes-Benz 190 C with a warranted mileage of only 62,500 km. The proprietor of a Rüdesheim restaurant bought the car new in 1964 – the original sales brochure, invoice, cardboard registration document, data card as well as the service booklet still exist. It then remained in the same family until 2007. The original owner’s nephew, who in 1981 had taken over the car, had it decommissioned in 1983 and parked it in a dry and heated garage where it was to stay for 24 years! In 2007, the third and current owner bought the car with a mileage of 47,702 km, had it recomissioned as a historic vehicle and took part in numerous classic car events.
The Mercedes still wears most of its original paint and the body has not been welded, apart from the repaired damage of a misplaced jack. The interior gives evidence to high-quality workmanship and appreciating, careful use. The chrome is equally nice, adding to the car’s exceptionally good general impression. Options as listed on the invoice include a steel sunroof, foldable centre armrest and fog lights.
The Mercedes has valid technical approval until 08/2017. It starts up without fail and runs very smooth. Just before entering the car into the auction, the current owner – due to a career change and temporary lack of company car – briefly used this amazing vehicle as a daily driver!

The vehicles colloquially referred to as “little tail fin” of the W 110 series were produced from 1961 to 1968. They belonged to the upper middle class of Mercedes and replaced the ponton series W120 / 121. Body, interior and luggage room sizes are substantially identical to the W111 series (“large tail fin”), which had entered the market in 1959.

All models have an unusual instrument panel with vertical roller speedometer (“clinical thermometer speedo”), where the display varies depending on the speed from yellow through red / yellow to red. All models also have the filler neck located behind the rear license plate, which folds down to allow access

The body was characterized by a hitherto unknown passive safety: It had for the first time a stable passenger cell and effective deformable zones. Mercedes conducted extensive crash tests, in which a vehicle was pushed over a ramp at 80 km/h in order to make it roll over.

BMW 325i Cabrio (E30)

– 1987 BMW 325i convertible from the E30 series
– Very chic colour combination with royal blue metallic paint and beige interior
– Matching softtop
– delivered and always registered in Germany, within the same family for 23 years
– 2.5 litre inline 6-cylinder engine with 125 kW (170 hp) and automatic gearbox
– Power windows front and rear
– Wooden Nardi steering wheel
– Heated seats
– Windbreaker
– Original BMW 15″ alloy wheels
– Original owner’s manual and service booklet available
– German registration documents

BMW’s 2nd generation of the 3 series, the E30, replaced its popular predecessor in 1982. With its straight lines, Claus Luthe – who had penned the timeless NSU Ro 80 – created a car that perfectly catered to the taste of its era. With its fixed window frames and the roll bar, it featured typical 1980s styling cues. Two years later, BMW presented their own convertible – the first in 15 years. And how different it looked in its completely open state, devoid of the aforementioned bars and beams.
It became an immediate success. Over 140,000 units were built until production ceased in 1993, three years after the launch of the E36 sedan.
30 years after its presentation, the E30 convertible has already become a sought-after classic. It is getting exceedingly difficult to find a well-preserved, original specimen – simply because many have suffered dearly at the hands of a financially inflexible clientele of 3rd and 4th hand owners attraced by the racing qualities of the E30 3 series.

Mercedes Benz – security, better to drive

‘The SL models are comfortable sports cars. They are neither loud nor tight. Trim and comfort meet the large Mercedes-Benz sedans. Owners and drivers will forget what they previously knew about sports cars. For the SL models go far beyond “sportiness with comfort”. The synthesis of all properties is crucial, and here, harmony was the goal.’ – This original quote from the 1974 brochure is still as true as it was 40 years ago.

The 450 SL has the 3-speed converter automatic transmission as standard. As has our model with the 180 hp 4.5 litre V8 (M117), a choice only available in the US. The vehicle was built in 1976 and has done 181,148 miles.

This car needs a few things done. The hood is defective, to begin with, and body, technology and interior also require some attention. Complete TÜV approval for Germany remains to be done.

The perfect restoration project for someone with a bit of garage space to spare.

What a dream car! From 1971-1989, the R 107 founded the unbeatable reputation of Mercedes-Benz in the open two-seater segment.

From the autumn of 1971 onwards, the 450 SL is initially built for the US market. Its M 117 engine provides 132 kW (180 hp) in the California version, 140 kW (190 hp) in the version for the other States, and as of 1973, 165 kW (225 hp) at 5000 rpm in the version for the European market. The top speed is 215 km / h and it accelerates from 0 to100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.
