The production of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing” had ceased in 1963. Being such a legendary vehicle, Mercedes decided to honour it by designing a new supercar some 47 years later.
No doubt whose successor the C 197-series Mercedes SLS was. Like the 300 SL it had gullwing doors and its performance left many other vehicles far behind .Equipped as standard with the most powerful naturally aspirated engine worldwide: a 6.2 litre V8 with originally 420 kW (571 hp) and later up to 464 kW (631 hp). The SLS was also the first Mercedes to be designed entirely by AMG in Affalterbach, who also manufactured the engine, while the chassis and aluminium body were produced by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. The final assembly took place with Mercedes’ headquarters in Sindelfingen. The car was a great success, specially amongst celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Boris Becker and Cristiano Ronaldo. It also won numerous international awards. Being a true heir to its predecessor, the SLS AMG turned to a memorable classic by the time production was ended in 2014.

BMW 530i (E34)

– 1994 BMW 530i from the E34 series
– 3.0 litre V8 motor offering 160 kW (218 hp), with automatic transmission
– arctic silver metallic (BMW colour code 309/) with grey fabric interior
– delivered and always registered in Germany
– facelift (wider grille)
– only two owners from new
– climate control (untested), heated seats, sunroof, burlwood decor, trip computer
– original BMW radio and tool kit on board
– service booklet available
– German registration documents

The 3rd generation of BMW’s 5 series, internally named E34, was presented to the public in early 1988. The new executive sedan was penned by Ercole Spada under the chief designer, Claus Luthe and took styling cues from the current 7 series (E32). It was noticably larger than the E28 it replaced, with a gain of 10 cm in length and 5 cm in width, allowing for a more spacious interior. Aerodynamics had been significantly improved, too.
The E34 came with a wide choice of engines, apart from the inline-6 cylinder motors one tends to associate the marque with, there were also variants with 4 or 8 cylinders. Turbo diesels were available, as was a natural gas powered engine in the 518g, of which only 298 units sold. BMW also experimented with a hybrid, capable of 30 km in electric mode.
The E34 was the first 5 series which was available as a station wagon, as of 1991. It also premiered the use of all-wheel drive in this segment, even if only 0.7 % of total output came with this option.
Facelifts in the years 1991 and 1992 kept the car up to date. By the time production was halted in favour of the succeeding E39, over 1.3 million units had been produced.

Porsche 968

A top speed of 252 km/h. The standard 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.5 seconds. Who would ever guess by looking at the data sheet that this was achieved by a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine?
Even by today’s standards, the Porsche 968 is a car with a thoroughly modern feel to it. Its design has never faded, and the driving experience is as thrilling as ever. This beautiful example in its black / black colour scheme was first registered to the dealership, and has since gone through two ownerships in Germany, the former from 1994 till 2013. The car has reportedly never been in an accident, it displays favourably with minimal traces of use. On the features’ list we find heated seats, power windows, a Becker Indianapolis radio with navigation as well as a sunroof.
The 968 runs on its original cup wheels in good condition.
In 2016 – very recently indeed – a new timing belt and water pump have been fitted, so the new owner will not need to fret about this potentially weak spot of the otherwise proverbially reliable engine.
This beautiful sports car comes with various documents, including the original German registration document, and repair receipts. It also has valid technical approval until 03/2017.

Originally intended to be yet another facelift for the Porsche 944, the 968 only became a model in its own right after the Porsche management had realised that about 80 % of the mechanical components had been either modified or replaced altogether. The resulting car still looked very much like a 944 when seen from the side, or indeed from the inside, which was unchanged from the 944 S2. The front and rear sections of the car had been restyled, though, giving them a stronger family resemblance with the 928, and anticipating styling cues from the 993.
Production of the 968 – available as coupĆ© or convertible – was no longer at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant where the 924 and 944 had been assembled, but at Porsche’s own Zuffenhausen factory. The 968 featured an updated version of the 3.0 litre inline 4-cylinder powerplant of its predecessor, which produced 177 kW (240 hp) and was mated to a 6-speed manual gearshift.
As of 1993, a Clubsport version of the 968 targeted customers who preferred a more lightweight, and therefore faster car to the rather luxuriously equipped, and more expensive, standard 968.
A very limited series of 968 Turbo S and 968 Turbo RS needs to be mentioned. With the 968, the era of 4-cylinder Porsche cars also came to an end… until almost two decades later, in 2016, the 718 Boxster revived this tradtition.

Well maintained garage vehicle, ready to drive immediately

Here it comes, the archetype of a small bubble car! A car that you simply can’t avoid falling in love with: the Fiat 500, introduced in 1957. It is both an icon of the 60s as well as a symbol of Italian compact design.
With the facelifted F-model, front-hinged doors were introduced at the 500 for the first time, replacing the so-called “suicide doors” of earlier models. Power comes from a rear-mounted 496 cc engine with a performance of 13 kW (18 hp).
People wanting more luxury, had to pick up the Fiat 500 F L: quilted side panels, map pockets in the doors, chrome bracket on the bumpers and a broadband speedometer with fuel gauge were the top features. The 500 F was built from 1965 to 1972. It also served various customizers as the basis for visual and technical changes. In 1972, the last variant, called 500 R (“Rinnovata”) was introduced, it remained in production until 1975. In total, over 3.7 million units of the Fiat 500 were built. The unbroken popularity of this model led Fiat to introduce a retro-styled new Fiat 500 in 2007.

Mercedes-Benz 230 CE

– Mercedes-Benz 230 CE from the C123 series
– olive green metallic paintwork, a true early 1980s favourite
– originally delivered to France
– M 102 E23 engine with Bosch K-Jetronic, the most fuel-efficient petrol engine of the C123
– automatic gearbox, recently re-sealed and transmission oil renewed
– beige interior in good condition with appropriate traces of use for a 36 year-old car
– slight parking damage front and rear
– repainting apparent in some places, some rusty spots require attention
– new rear brake (incl. discs)
– French registration documents

Rock solid elegance from Germany

The 123 models were the most successful cars Mercedes ever built. In 1980, the W123 even beat rival Volkswagen, having more registrations than the all-time winner VW Golf. The longĀ delivery time of up to three years had an interesting effect: Young used cars cost more than new ones.

The coupĆ© was derived from the sedan and was presented in 1977.Ā Its shorter wheelbase made it lookĀ more sturdy and sportive.Ā All coupĆ© models featured broad halogen headlights.Ā

For every 24 limousines, Mercedes produced only one coupĆ©, which is why the C123 was very early considered an eligible classic. Its high production quality makes it a very reliable vehicle, even today.Ā In Germany, Mercedes sold them with four or six cylinder petrol motors, whileĀ clientsĀ in the US could also choose additional diesel models.Ā

Well-maintained luxury sedan without maintenance backlog

Automobile size, redefined

With the appearance of the new S-Class in 1991, it rained criticism: The vehicles were too heavy, not at all up to date in their megalomania – loading capacity was too low, and to top it all off, they didn’t even fit on the Sylt-shuttle trains!
Those who didn’t care about all of the above, acquired a sedan that set new standards and came with a hoist of innovations: CAN bus, voice controlled car telephony, park distance control, ESP, double glazed laminated safety glass … things that nowadays have become automotive standard were here on board for the first time. The excellent workmanship and reliability bestowed many W 140 a second career outside Germany. Models of this series were the first to be offered with V12 engines. Incidentally, the Maybachs built until 2011 were largely based on the the W 140 series.
Like all large Mercedes limousines before, the 1990s S-Class will be a sought-after classic in the foreseeable future.

Mercedes-Benz 250 CE (W 114)

– 1971 Mercedes-Benz 250 CE
– the coupe of the “stroke-eight” series W 114
– 110 kW (150 hp) straight six-cylinder engine with automatic gearbox
– unwarranted mileage of 11,300 km
– reported high quality restoration and repainted in colour code 744
– blue leather interior
– electric sunroof, 4 power windows, electric antenna,
– tinted windows, centre armrest
– Radio Becker Mexico
– “card board registration”, original invoice and service booklet available
– German registration documents, valid technical approval until 06/2020 and historic plates

“Strich-Acht”, stroke-eight, is the nickname under which the vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz W 114 and W 115 series came to be known. The designation originated from the sales start in 1968 and identified the vehicles as successors to the W 110, the so-called “fintail”. The /8 series was designed by Paul Bracq and Bruno Sacco. The vehicles were equipped with petrol and diesel engines, which produced 70-110 kW (95-150 hp) and 40-59 kW (55-80 hp) respectively. The manufacturer differentiated internally between six-cylinder (W 114) and four-cylinder (W 115) engines. The chassis was a completely new development, which led to better road handling. Four disc brakes as standard and 26 crash tests prove that safety was paramount. As is still the case today, almost all equipment features were optional extras subject to surcharge. The typical centre console design was also new. In addition to the classic sedan, a variant with a long wheelbase and a coupĆ© were offered. The solid basic substance and the superior build quality deserve special mention, as they often lead to seven-figure mileages, topped by a taxi to be admired at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, which covered a total of 4.6 million kilometres with three exchange engines. A total of over 1.9 million units of the /8 were produced.

Sales on behalf of consignor

Whereas the superseded model was offered exclusively with 6-cylinder engines, Mercedes had planned the new model with enough space under the hood for larger engines, certainly with a view to the North American market – and it was precisely there that the SL was highly successful. Over a period of 18 years, a total of 237,287 convertibles were built at the main plant in Sindelfingen, most of them with V8 engines of varying displacement as the 350, 380, 420, 450, 500 and 560 SL. 6-cylinder models supplemented the range, initially as the 280 SL from 1974 to 1985 and later as the 300 SL from 1985 to 1989.
Thanks to continuous innovation over the many model years, the R107 set numerous standards. When it was finally replaced by the R129 in 1989, it was already poised to become one of the eternal automobile classics.

Daimler DB 18 Consort

It was in 1951, and in Britain, that the zebra crossing first found its way into the traffic regulations.
Also in 1951, in Britain, this remarkable luxury sedan was assembled. Some 65 years later, while every child knows zebra crossings, few people would recognise the Daimler DB 18 Consort. At its time, the massive luxury car – rocking the scales at over 1.6 tons – was really quite popular among wealthy customers around the world. The Maharaja of India is said to have ordered over 100 copies of this particular model. This DB 18 is a right-hand drive car which has reportedly only gone through two ownerships from new. The current owner held it since 2003. At some point in the past, the Daimler has been partially restored and displays a degree of patina in keeping with the age of the car. The chrome parts are good for their 65 years of age. On the inside, there’s 1950s luxury galore, with quilted red leather upholstery, thick red carpeting and finely grained wood on dashboard and door side panels, all in great shape. The odometer displays an unwarranted mileage of 75,100 mls. Both the straight six-cylinder engine as well as the special Wilson pre-selector 4-speed gearbox work well according to the consignor. The Daimler comes with German registration documents and historic plates.
Don’t miss your chance to enjoy early post-war splendour from Coventry at its very best.

In 1937, the Daimler Company Limited in Coventry, England, had started producing a large sedan powered by a 2.2 litre engine which was commonly referred to as the “New Fifteen”. Two years later, a larger 2.5 litre engine, originally developed for an armoured car, was installed into the sedan. The resulting car was named DB 18, but more commonly referred to as “Daimler 2 1/2 litre”. The outbreak of WWII prevented it from entering serial production, as Daimler was compelled to focus on producing military vehicles. After the war, production was resumed, and at the London Motor Show of 1948, a slightly modified version of the DB 18 was presented, now labelled “Consort”. Among the revisions, there were hydraulic brakes in the front, and the head lights which were now integrated into the fenders.
The in-line six-cylinder engine produced 52 kW (70 hp) of power and sent drive through the rear wheels via a 4-speed Wilson pre-selector gearbox. The top speed was claimed to be 76 mph (122 km/h).
The Consort remained in production until 1953, although its chassis continued to be used for the Daimler Regency until 1956. A total of 7,605 units were built.

The successor to the legendary “Baby Benz”
– 120HP from a 1.8L inline four-cylinder petrol engine
– automatic transmission
– Read mileage of only 78,500 KM
– Checkbook well kept
– 1 owner only
– As good as new condition inside and outside
– Original condition

The C-Class, designed by Bruno Sacco, was introduced in May 1993 as the successor to the successful C 201 model series. In particular, there were extensive improvements to the body. It became stiffer and more stable. The front and rear windscreens were bonded and thus became load-bearing elements. The use of water-based paints also contributed to the weight reduction. The new model could be ordered in the Classic, Esprit, Elegance and Sport equipment packages.
After a production period of 4 years and a production volume of 1 million saloons, Mercedes presented a “facelift” in June 1997. Redesigned front and rear bumpers as well as sill trims painted in body colour, a modified radiator grille and dark tinted rear lights were the recognisable changes to the body. Side airbags in the door panels, seatbelt force limiters and the brake assistant brought more safety for the occupants.
The most successful model variant of the second C-Class series was the C 180, which accounted for 36% of the total number of units produced and became the most widely built passenger car model of the manufacturer Mercedes-Benz.
