– 1967 Glas Goggomobil T 250
– 0.25 litre 2 cylinder 2-stroke engine offering 10 kW (14 hp)
– attractive bi-colour paintwork (red/white)
– matching leatherette interior
– white bakelite steering wheel
– white rims with chromed hubcaps
– rear luggage rack with suitcase
– original German cardboard registration document with one entry available
– photo-documented restoration

In the 1950s, when its customers increasingly wanted a car instead of a motorbike, the motorcycle and agricultural machinery manufacturer Hans Glas GmbH decided to launch a small car on the market. The Goggomobil, which owes its name to the nickname of one of the founder’s grandchildren, was introduced in 1954. The first Model T had a minimalist design, was only available in the colour “Sahara beige” and offered no comfort at all. It was not until 1957 that the four-seater saloon was fitted with, among other things, a second windscreen wiper and crank windows. A fan-cooled 0.25 litre two-cylinder two-stroke engine was installed under the supporting sheet steel body. The four-speed transmission was operated manually with a centre shift lever in an open shift gate. From 1957 a second version of the vehicle was offered: a coupe with the designation TS. This version, unlike the sedan, had two normal seats at the front, two additional jump seats at the rear and a panorama rear window. Between 1957 and 1965 the model TL was built. The small van had two sliding doors and a tailgate and was also available with an open loading area. By the end of production in 1969, three years after the company had been taken over by BMW, over 280,000 vehicles had been produced and also successfully exported to 36 other countries.

– young Mercedes-Benz classic: E 320 convertible from the A 124 series
– unwarranted 135,600 km on the odometer
– late specimen from penultimate year of production run, original German delivery
– spent the last decade with a collector in Britain
– rare Sportline package, beautiful burlwood trim
– delightful, hard-to-find colour combination of tourmaline green with full black leather interior
– automatic transmission, power hood, dual zone climate control, wind blocker
– electrically adjustable, heated seats
– alloy wheels, summer and winter tyres
– tyres and convertible top renewed
– cosmetically well maintained car; the perfect summer chariot

Not open for everyone, but if open, then for four

Mercedes-Benz convertible lovers had to wait for it for a full two decades: A convertible, which offered no jump seats, but comfortable seats in the rear. There had been no such car since the end of production of the W108 series. In 1992 it was time again! The convertible based on the E-Class (W124) coupé, presented in 1987 – at a time when the corresponding sedan had been out for sale for eight years straight. Early customers weren’t to be deterred by the high purchase price of 100,000 marks, and what they got, was a technically sophisticated vehicle with the proven 3 litre four-valve engine.

In subsequent years, the engine range was extended downwards, yet even the basic version with four-cylinder engine still set you back some 80,000 DM. From October 1996 to July 1997 there was the special “Final Edition” with an elegant, black-brown burl wood.
Since many A124 endet up as tuning victims, un-tinkered original models are now fast advancing to valuable classics.

Mercedes Benz – security, better to drive

‘The SL models are comfortable sports cars. They are neither loud nor tight. Trim and comfort meet the large Mercedes-Benz sedans. Owners and drivers will forget what they previously knew about sports cars. For the SL models go far beyond “sportiness with comfort”. The synthesis of all properties is crucial, and here, harmony was the goal.’ – This original quote from the 1974 brochure is still as true as it was 40 years ago.

The 450 SL has the 3-speed converter automatic transmission as standard. As has our model with the 180 hp 4.5 litre V8 (M117), a choice only available in the US. The vehicle was built in 1976 and has done 181,148 miles.

This car needs a few things done. The hood is defective, to begin with, and body, technology and interior also require some attention. Complete TÜV approval for Germany remains to be done.

The perfect restoration project for someone with a bit of garage space to spare.

What a dream car! From 1971-1989, the R 107 founded the unbeatable reputation of Mercedes-Benz in the open two-seater segment.

From the autumn of 1971 onwards, the 450 SL is initially built for the US market. Its M 117 engine provides 132 kW (180 hp) in the California version, 140 kW (190 hp) in the version for the other States, and as of 1973, 165 kW (225 hp) at 5000 rpm in the version for the European market. The top speed is 215 km / h and it accelerates from 0 to100 km/h in 8.8 seconds.

The production of the R 107 series ended in August 1989, more than 18 years after it had started. This makes it one of the longest-built chassis from Mercedes-Benz. A total of 237,287 open vehicles were produced at the Sindelfingen main plant.

This vehicle set plenty of standards through continuous innovation and has become one of the eternal automobile classics.

This vehicle is a rare and well-equipped E 220 Cabrio “Final Edition” with Luxembourg papers and an unwarranted mileage of 212,300 km. The A 124 is powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine with 110 kW (150 hp) and a manual transmission.

Externally, the special model presents itself in the rare original colour blue iron ore-green (MB colour code 279). The alloy wheels and the sports suspension complement the sporty appearance perfectly.

Inside there’s elegance all around the cabin, dressed in black. It features heated leather seats as well as air conditioning and a level control for the rear axle. The electric hood needs a bit of attention, as does the rear bumper on the right (parking damage). Some repainting can be seen.

The E-Class Cabriolet is already a classic and the lavish Final Edition is particularly rare and highly sought-after, with only 1,390 units built! The car has got new TÜV technical approval (01/2017).

Volkswagen Käfer Cabrio

– 1968 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible
– two owners from new
– with the last owner for 32 years
– vehicle was part of a larger historic VW collection
– 1.5 litre flat-four engine offering 32 kW (44 hp), mated to manual gearbox
– unwarranted mileage of 44,300 km
– light blue paintwork and new black soft-top with tarpaulin
– chromed trim stripes and hubcaps
– period-correct Blaupunkt radio installed
– German registration documents

When production of this convertible came to a close, its fans had tears in their eyes! Precious few other vehicles had found their way into the hearts of people the way the Beetle Convertible had – thanks to its timeless, cuddly shape and certainly also due to the fact that it had brought the convertible feeling to people far below the ranks of the “upper ten thousand” in the first place.
During the final years of the nearly 30-year production span, the open version of the VW Beetle became increasingly popular, and as the demand went up, so did the prices for well-kept used cars, which surpassed their retail prices almost right from the start. A car that had already become a classic during its construction period, after all it was produced with relatively marginal changes from 1949 to 1980.
All along, the convertible was always based on the most powerful and best-equipped version of the “creepy-crawly” of its time. A total of 330,281 open beetles were manufactured at Karmann in Osnabrück, right up to the final “Volkswagen 1303 Cabriolet” with an engine power of 37 kW (50 hp) as of 1972.

Mercedes-Benz 500 SL

An impressive Mercedes-Benz 500 SL is being offered here. The exact history of the vehicle is not known and it seems to be a European delivery, as can also be seen by the bumpers and headlights.
The mighty 5.0 litre V8 produces 170 kW (231 hp) and is mated to the 4-speed automatic gearbox.
With its dark blue paintwork and tan MB tex interior, the SL still looks elegant after 30 years. The convertible top in matching dark blue is in an acceptable condition regarding the age of the vehicle. Traces of a not very professionally repaired accident damage remain visible on the right hand side of the car.
The SL features the 2+2 seater arrangement. Driver and passenger seats appear to have been re-upholstered given the good condition. Dashboard and centre console are slightly cracked, but altogether the car is in an acceptable condition regarding its mileage of over 220,000 mls.
A rare factory option in 1984 was the driver’s airbag, which is installed here, as well as the climate control (currently not working). Owner’s manual and service booklet – the latter in French – are included with this interesting convertible, which is being sold as a restoration object due to the considerably required repairs on body and mechanical parts.

A dream of automobile! From 1971 – 1989 the R107 founded the unbeatable reputation of the brand Mercedes-Benz in the open two-seater segment.

The top model 500 SL – equipped with the 450 SLC 5.0 known 5.0 litre V8 engine (M 117) – replaced the 450 SL and from the beginning with its 240, later 245 hp (or 223 hp with catalytic converter). This brings the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and delivers a top speed of 225 km/h (with catalyst 215 km/h). The production of the R 107 series ended in August 1989, more than 18 years after it had started. This makes it one of the longest-built chassis from Mercedes-Benz. A total of 237,287 open vehicles were produced at the Sindelfingen main plant.

A must-have for classic car connoisseurs!

This 450 SL is equipped with the 4.5 litre V8 engine (M117) and 180 hp, which was only available in the US. The vehicle was built in 1974 (and therefore still has the small European bumpers). The odometer shows an unwarranted mileage of 75,634 mls.

This vehicle wins you over with an extremely harmonious colour combination of lapis blue exterior paint (MB-color code 932) in conjunction with blue trim and blue carpets.

The SL features air conditioning, power windows and radio.

Paint and chrome are very good, lines nice and straight. Body-colour hard top and blue soft top are included, both in good condition.

The vehicle has already got historic plates and technical approval (TÜV) till 02/2017.

A really snazzy car!
