  • If the processing of your personal data was/is conducted in an unlawful manner, you have the option to demand the restriction of the processing of your data in lieu of demanding the eradication of this data.
  • If we do not need your personal data any longer and you need it to exercise, defend or claim legal entitlements, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its eradication.
  • If you have raised an objection pursuant to Art. 21 Sect. 1 GDPR, your rights and our rights will have to be weighed against each other. As long as it has not been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand a restriction of the processing of your personal data.

Google AdSense (not personalized)

This website uses Google AdSense, an ad embedding service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use Google AdSense in the “non-personalized” mode. Contrary to the personalized mode, the ads are not based on your previous user patterns and the service does not generate a user profile for you. Instead, the service uses so-called “context information” to choose the ads that are posted for you to view. The selected ads are thus based e.g. on your location, the content of the website you are visiting at the time or the search terms you are using. To learn more about the distinct differences between personalized targeting and targeting that has not been personalized by Google AdSense, please click on the following link: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9007336.

Please keep in mind that even the use of the non-personalized mode of Google Adsense results in the potential archiving of cookies. According to Google, these cookies are used to combat fraud and misuse. These cookies will remain on your device until you delete them.

The use of Google Adsense in the non-personalized mode is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDRP. We have a justified interest in the analysis of user patterns to be able to optimize both, our web presentation and our promotional activities. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.

Google is certified in accordance with the “EU-US Privacy Shield”. The Privacy Shield accord was executed between the European Union and the United States with the aim of ensuring that European Data Protection Standards are observed in conjunction with the processing of data in the United States. Every company that is certified in accordance with the Privacy Shield regulations undertakes to comply with these data protection standards.

You have the option to autonomously adjust the advertising settings in your user account. To do so, please click on the link provided below and log in: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

For more information about Google’s advertising technologies, please click here:

Google Analytics Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in combination with the functions of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick, which work on all devices. The provider of these solutions is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

This function makes it possible to connect the advertising target groups generated with Google Analytics Remarketing with the functions of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick, which work on all devices. This makes it possible to display interest-based customized advertising messages, depending on your prior usage and browsing patterns on a device (e.g. cell phone) in a manner tailored to you as well as on any of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have given us pertinent consent, Google will connect your web and app browser progressions with your Google account for this purpose. As a result, it is possible to display the same personalized advertising messages on every device you log into with your Google account.

To support this function, Google Analytics records Google authenticated IDs of users that are temporarily connected with our Google Analytics data to define and compile the target groups for the ads to be displayed on all devices.

You have the option to permanently object to remarketing/targeting across all devices by deactivating personalized advertising. To do this, please follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The consolidation of the recorded data in your Google account shall occur exclusively based on your consent, which you may give to Google and also revoke there (Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. a GDPR). Data recording processes that are not consolidated in your Google account (for instance because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the consolidation of data), the recording of data is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the operator of the website has a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitor for advertising purposes.

For further information and the pertinent data protection regulations, please consult the Data Privacy Policies of Google at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online promotional program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

In conjunction with Google Ads, we use a tool called Conversion Tracking. If you click on an ad posted by Google, a cookie for Conversion Tracking purposes will be placed. Cookies are small text files the web browser places on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we will be able to recognise that the user has clicked on an ad and has been linked to this page.

A different cookie is allocated to every Google Ads customer. These cookies cannot be tracked via websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained with the assistance of the Conversion cookie is used to generate Conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted to use Conversion Tracking. The users receive the total number of users that have clicked on their ads and have been linked to a page equipped with a Conversion Tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that would allow them to personally identify these users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you have the option to object to this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your web browser under user settings. If you do this, you will not be included in the Conversion Tracking statistics.

The storage of “Conversion” cookies and the use of this tracking tool are based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.

To review more detailed information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking, please consult the Data Privacy Policies of Google at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

You can set up your browser in such a manner that you will be notified anytime cookies are placed and you can permit cookies only in certain cases or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain instances or in general and you can also activate the automatic deletion of cookies upon closing of the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functions of this website may be limited.

Facebook Pixel

To measure conversion rates, this website uses the visitor activity pixel of Facebook. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Facebook’s statement the collected data will be transferred to the USA and other third party countries too.

This tool allows the tracking of page visitors after they have been linked to the website of the provider after clicking on a Facebook ad. This makes it possible to analyse the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising campaigns.

For us as the operators of this website, the collected data is anonymous. We are not in a position to arrive at any conclusions as to the identity of users. However, Facebook archives the information and processes it, so that it is possible to make a connection to the respective user profile and Facebook is in a position to use the data for its own promotional purposes in compliance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This enables Facebook to display ads on Facebook pages as well as in locations outside of Facebook. We as the operator of this website have no control over the use of such data.

The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The operator of the website has a legitimate interest in effective advertising campaigns, which also include social media. If a corresponding agreement has been requested (e.g. an agreement to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.

In Facebook’s Data Privacy Policies, you will find additional information about the protection of your privacy at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You also have the option to deactivate the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” in the ad settings section under  https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you first have to log into Facebook.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate any user based advertising by Facebook on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

Chrysler New Yorker Business

A worthwhile addition to any 50s car collection

This 1951 Chrysler New Yorker Business Coupe with its classical colour combination of blue paintwork, white wall tyres anc chrome galore is a very elegant sight. It comes in what appears to be an unrestored original condition. The car was registered in California before being imported to Germany.

The coupe is, according to its previous owner, in a decent technical state. It has the 5.3 litre straight eight cylinder engine installed, which is coupled to a “Fluid Matic” semi-automatic transmission with gear selector mounted to the steering column. The New Yorker’s interior and exterior show a level of patina requisite for a car of this age and give a very harmonious overall impression,

The Chrysler is cleared through customs and is being offered with the US title.

Steadily above the mainstream

The Chrysler New Yorker nameplate dates back as far 1938, when a “New York special” version of the Imperial was released. One year later, the name was changed to “New Yorker”, and since then, the term was used for a total of 14 generations of upscale Chryler models, all the way to 1996, making it one of the longest running nameplates in American automotive history.

One generation usually lasted about four years on average, and even within a generation, modifications were manifold. In earlier generations, the New Yorker was available as 4-door sedan, 4-door station wagon (as of 3rd gen.), 2-door coupe as well as 2-door convertible. In 1965 (7th gen.), the convertible was discontinued, and as of 1979 (10th gen.), the 4-door sedan remained the only available body layout. Until the 1950s, New Yorkers usually had straight 8 engines, then the V8 became the engine of choice for many decades. Later models also offered smaller six- and four-cylinder engine options.

Pontiac New Series 6-28

  • By:

  • In

– highly original 1928 Pontiac New Series 6-28
– discovered in the late 1990s in Pontiac dealership’s bankruptcy estate
– vehicle was and still is in amazing state of preservation
– upon arrival in Germany, carefully restored keeping all original parts
– all sheet metal as well as the drivetrain virtually unchanged
– wooden spoke wheels only repainted, not replaced
– original seat upholstery cleaned, otherwise left unchanged
– since the restoration only used in the context of vintage car get-togethers
– vehicle comes with workshop manual and original sales brochure
– German registration documents and historic plates
– a unique piece of automotive history that has survived nearly a century

General Motors positioned the Pontiac brand in the market in 1926. The first model of the new brand was the so-called “Series 6-27”, where the 6 stood for the six-cylinder engine, and the 27 for the (upcoming) year 1927. The 6-27 was initially only available as a two-seater coupe or as five-seater sedan, but already half a year later, two- and four-door Landaulets followed.
At the beginning of 1927, the “New Finer 6-27” emerged, distinguishable by its improved front fenders. Additionally, convertible and roadster became available.
After further revisions, the “New Series 6-28” was launched in January 1928 accordingly. These models featured a flatter radiator grille and a more fluid bodywork styling.
In 3 years, about 414,000 units were produced, a remarkably large number in its time, surpassing all expectations. The “New Series” was replaced by the “Big Six”, a technically as well as optically rather similar successor model.

Pontiac New Series 6-28

According to the previous owner, this car was “rediscovered” in the late 1990s in the context of an insolvency of a Pontiac dealer in the US, in completely original state of preservation, and later exported to Germany. The vehicle has been lovingly and carefully restored down to the last detail, while keeping all original parts. German registration documents and H-approval have been provided, and since then the car has been moved only in the context of vintage car get-togethers.

It is unusual that both all metal parts as well as the mechanics are still unchanged. The wooden spoke wheels were preserved and have only been repainted. A highlight is the original seat upholstery, which has only been cleaned and was otherwise left unchanged. Even the cooling water thermometer with capillary tube was restored and re-calibrated by a specialist for more than € 1,000. – .
To top it off, the vehicle comes with a workshop manual and original sales brochure.

A piece of automotive history that has survived nearly a century and presents a sustainable investment.

BMW 316 (E30) Baur-Cabrio TC2

  • By:
  • With Comments Off on BMW 316 (E30) Baur-Cabrio TC2
  • In

– rare BMW 316 Baur convertible TC2
– first registered in 1987, at a time when the factory convertible was already available
– only two German owners from new
– lambda-controlled catalytic converter retrofitted
– 2015/2016 around € 1,000 invested on repair and maintenance
– new windshield sealing frame, new noise-absorbing mats, new fan belt
– oil change, underbody cavity sealing with Fluidoil
– new set of tyres on the original BMW alloys
– gray velours interior with more pronounced traces of use on driver’s seat
– valid technical approval until 01/2019 and historic plates
– Baur Topcabrio, the more extraordinary way of E30 open-top motoring

BMW’s 2nd generation of the 3 series, the E30, replaced its popular predecessor in 1982. With its straight lines, Claus Luthe – who had penned the timeless NSU Ro 80 – created a car that perfectly catered to the taste of its era. The handsome and well-built cars with their wonderfully smooth engines were originally available as 2- and 4-door sedans. As early as 1983, the Baur company at Stuttgart produced a convertible which was distributed through BMW’s official retailers – as had been the case with the predecessor E21. With its fixed window frames and the roll bar, it featured typical 1980s styling cues. The official name was “TC2”, which meant it was the second edition of Baur’s “top cabrio”. Demand was satisfactory – until two years later, BMW presented their own convertible, the first in 15 years. In its completely open state, devoid of the aforementioned bars and beams, it was considered more elegant than the Baur version and became an immediate sales success. Baur – who ironically had designed the factory E30 convertible – continued to offer the TC2 until 1991, albeit with limited success. In the end, 10,865 Baur TC2 had been assembled, making up less than 10 % of the 140,000 factory convertibles. It is precisely this infrequence which nowadays makes a well-kept Baur convertible a sought-after alternative.

BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster

– Technical service report until 05/2022
– at 224,580 km overhauled exchange engine with 150,000 km installed (invoice available I)

In 1995, BMW presented a new sporting two seater roadster. Designed by Joji Nagashima, technically based on E36 and internally named E36/7, this was the first new BMW to be built exclusively in the US. Within just two years, a new factory had been erected at Greer, South Carolina, which had commenced production of the E36 in 1994. Apart from the powertrain, which still came from Germany, all other components for the Z3 were sourced from North American suppliers. The roadster was very popular right from day one – aided by clever product placement in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye.
In 1999, a coupé version (E36/8) was added. This proved somewhat controversial, as it was more of a shooting brake than an actual coupé, and it ended up nicknamed “breadbox” by some critics. The engine palette ranged from a 1.8 litre four-cylinder with 85 kW (116 hp) to the mighty 3.2 litre six-cylinder in the Z3 M, which boasted 239 kW (325 hp).
For the 2000 model year, the Z3 was facelifted, the new look best noticeable at the rear with the L-shaped taillights. The facelift also brought better insulation for the convertible top, which now had three layers, not just one, and higher quality materials were used for the plastic rear window.
Over 7 years, a total of 279,273 roadsters and 17,815 coupés were built.

A range of large pickups was offered by General Motors from 1960 to 1998.
The drive and payload of the respective models were added to the model name. The designation C stands for conventional (rear-wheel drive) and the number 10, 20 or 30 for half-ton, three-quarter-ton and one-ton payloads. A delivery van for all transport applications was created from the former workshop vehicle. By using coil springs on the front axle and the leaf springs, in conjunction with trailing arms on the rear axle, road holding has been significantly improved compared to the previous models. In addition to basic equipment, a new equipment package called Cheyenne was created in 1970. This included better sound insulation in the doors and the headliner, fabric seats, carpet and extensive chrome fittings. The 3rd generation was launched in 1973. GMC officially called this model “Rounded Line”. It was a completely new body design that clearly stood out from the typical American pickup of that time. Due to the new body shape in the Fleetside variant, this pickup appeared larger and wider and was then nicknamed box-body or square-body.
