Vehicle Description

As Snow White’s Coffin it is well known to everyone: the Volvo P1800 ES.

Only 8.077 units of this station wagon or fastback had been built from 1971 – 1973; here in an upbeat orange. This model is one of the last ones ever built and comes from the US.

Equipped with 124 hp, the shooting brake is motorized sufficiently even in the automatic version.
The vehicle leaves hardly anything to be desired regarding paintwork and interior. The orange exterior blends perfectly with the black leather interior. The chrome in good condition completes the picture.

Historic plates have been issued, technical approval (TÜV) is valid till 02/2017.

The Volvo P1800 had its world premiere in 1960 at the Geneva Motor Show. World famous became the two-seater sports coupe by the TV series “The Saint” with Roger Moore, who even drove the car many years privately. Ten years later, the production of the Volvo P1800 ES, the so-called “Snow White’s Coffin”, began.

The in ten years of production graying Volvo P 1800 underwent a brilliant development with the Shooting Brake and became a coveted exotic with the popular glass flap – particularly in the USA. The high price played a major role. In Germany one could get for the same money a prestigious 280 SE 3.5 at Mercedes, and a respectable Audi 100 Coupé S was even a whopping 10,000 Mark cheaper.

Design made in Sweden – here it has found its perfect form and makes the heart of every design lover beat faster!
